This is where I, the DesperateNaijaWoman (DNW), come to ponder aloud in a ' I wonder why' format. Sometimes serious. Sometimes frivolous. Always seeking to know. To understand better. Or simply just to laugh.

Why We Wait For Death To Forgive and Show Love
Yes, I know this is a a broad generalisation. Forgive me. But DNW wonders why it becomes easier to let go of past hurts and speak of only the good parts of life with a person when that person dies? Why can we not give it up while the person was alive? DNW wonders why people wait till funeral services to speak of all the good a person has done, or all the good things a person has contributed to their lives. Or what that person means to them.....DNW wonders...why not just tell them now?
Yeah...it upsets me as well. Thats one of d reasons I refused to watch MJ's funeral, because it all looks hypocritical. But the bigger truth is, it's going to continue this way, it's not going to change. The other learning point for me is that, it is then important for me to do my best to invest positively in the lives of people & having faith & confidence that those investments will yield fruit. I also have to try my best to have a pure mind & relate to people with that pure mind & most importantly try my best to always be in Baba God's good books. If one is able to achieve all of this then people will genuinely say nice things about them when they pass on.
Yes, You are quite safe. No harm will befall you here. You may become a 'wonderer' like me Or perhaps you may have an answer to my ponder. Lol! No matter. Whatever Just have fun and remember Don't be a stranger!
I love to write and ever since I discovered the art of blogging have been trying really hard not to become a blog junkie! I am blessed to be married to a man who 'gets' me most of the time and to have three children who make me laugh in totally different ways.
And in 2012, God gave me a new name. He called me Salt.
